Intro

Welcome!

This is the homepage of the RegiSCAR project dedicated to severe cutaneous adverse reactions. As this is an evolving project this site is permanently under construction. Main task of the project is to establish a scientific network of people interested in severe cutaneous adverse dug reactions (SCARs) like Stevens-Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN), acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) and drug hypersensitivity syndrome with systemic symptoms (DRESS, HSS, DIHS) maintain anongoing multinational registry of such cases (and thus contributing to pharmacovigilance) and collect biological samples to study the pathomechanisms (and genetic background) of these diseases.
Phase I of the RegiSCAR project is partially supported by the European Community (Project No: QLRT-2001-01738) and was conducted in Austria, France, Germany, Israel, Italy and the Netherlands. Actually we are expanding our network to other countries like South Afrika, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Vientnam.
